Bomper Studio partnered with Taxi Studio in the Celebration rebrand, working to create modernised, tactile sweets and iconised depictions of celebration style assets, to create a more streamlined look.
Launched in 1997, Celebrations disrupted the confectionery category and quickly became an enduring Christmas staple in millions of homes. However, after rival brands followed suit, Celebrations struggled to remain relevant in a category chock-full of more focused offerings. Celebrations were being overshadowed by its constituent brands. Most importantly, it wasn’t abundantly clear what the brand stood for, and it was considered a Christmas-only purchase.
Taxi were tasked with repositioning Celebrations in customers’ minds as the confectionery brand to celebrate your special moments all year round and invite a younger-tech savvy audience to the party. They achieved this by simplifying and amplifying the individual brands’ distinctive assets, without betraying the familiarity and iconicity of each chocolate.
Bomper were then tasked with crafting iconised 3D assets and distinctive chocolate assets with a more premium-yet-playful look and feel, unique to Celebrations. Ultimately, the new brand and toolkit works to reposition Celebrations in customers’ minds as the confectionery brand to celebrate your special moments all year round and invites a younger-tech savvy audience to the party.
